Alba Power conducts its global operations from a custom-built new gas turbine workshop, test facility and stores complex on the outskirts of Aberdeen, Scotland. Aberdeen – the Energy Capital of Europe – has well-developed logistics and freighting capabilities, and this allows Alba Power to offer rapid-response services on a worldwide basis.
The 4,000sq.m workshop facility was extended and comprehensively refurbished in 2010, and has pristine strip and build bays, horizontal and vertical balance machines, comprehensive tooling, clean lines and inspection areas, as well as an extensive spares storage area.
The workshop and stores complex is set in six acres (25,000sq.m) of land, on a green-field site which is designed to accommodate future expansion.
