Avon receives overhaul and swirler modification
Alba Power has successfully performed many Avon gas turbine overhauls, so it came as no surprise to win a contract to provide an Avon gas turbine overhaul including swirler burner modifications as part of an all-inclusive, fixed-price contract.
It is becoming a more common practice for clients to look for the full suite of requirements, and on this particular contract Alba Power was tasked with: Avon gas turbine removal, transportation, overhaul and modification works taking place at the Alba Power quality-approved workshops, natural gas testing, transport back to site, installation and commissioning of the Avon gas turbine, on-site gas turbine control system augmentation suitable for the modified Avon gas turbine, and the provision of an Avon gas turbine transportation and storage pod.
