Safe and environmentally sound
During a recent contract, Alba Power was requested to provide an Avon transportation pod. Traditional dri-clad engine bags are generally suitable for the transportation of a gas turbine, but, depending on the mode of transport and the quality of third-party handling, unwanted chemical spills can occur.
Alba Power now supplies manufactured gas turbine transportation and storage pods which overcome this potential hazard and provide added environmental security. The steel construction and solid base allow unexpected spillages to be contained within the pod with no impact on the environment, and any minor spills can simply be mopped up and environmentally recycled.
The Alba Power pod is capable of safely transporting an Avon gas turbine worldwide, and can be nitrogen-purged if long-term storage of a gas turbine is required. Alba Power can provide transportation and storage pods for many gas turbine types, with short lead times, in purged and un-purged versions, and load-tested and certified.
