Alba Power has a small, tightly-integrated technical and sales team which offers a 24 hour call-out service. The fitters, engineers and supervisors have extensive OEM experience gleaned over many years with major turbine companies including Rolls-Royce and General Electric.

The in-house team is also augmented as and when required by a number of long-term company associates who act as on-call technical authorities.

Terry Alderton, managing director

Terry has successfully held a number of senior management positions for over 30 years, and has over 20 years’ experience in gas turbines, with particular technical expertise in component repair of Avon 1533-1534-1535, and Olympus A-B-C, RB211.

A highly experienced MD with skills and expertise in precision engineering, surface technologies, industrial gas turbines and aerospace disciplines, Terry joined Alba Power in 2004 to consolidate the company’s strategy and drive the business’s year-on-year growth, with a major emphasis on developing new global markets through ultra-responsive customer service and quality management.

Campbell Archibald, sales director

Over 20 years’ experience with a number of major gas turbine OEMs, having started as a mechanical engineering apprentice before moving into technical sales.

Grahame Martin, senior sales manager

Over 18 years’ gas turbine experience, with specialist expertise in engine build, package software and contract management.  Recently project-managed the Ardmore North Sea power generation project as well as a number of other contracts with major global energy providers.

Neil McKenzie, operations manager

Neil is a highly experienced gas turbine production manager with over 15 years’ OEM experience, specialising in Avon, Avon 200, Olympus and RB211 engines.  His experience was gained with global operators, where he started his career as a gas turbine fitter before moving up to gas turbine engineer, charge-hand and then supervisor.

Neil joined Alba Power in late 2006 as production manager before taking up his current post early in 2009.

Mike Johnston, sales manager

Mike has a number of years experience with a major GT manufacturer servicing the North Sea gas turbine sector, having previously worked as a field service engineer and then a maintenance contract manager.  Mike joined the Alba Power sales team as sales manager in early 2009.
